Congratulations to Scaled Composites
SpaceShip One from Scaled Composites has made history again. They were the first privately launched manned flight into space, and now they have won the X-prize. Congratulations to a spectacular team, and good luck on the American Space Prize (at the bottom of the page).
Astronomy Picture of the Day
This is an utterly amazing picture of the Earth, from Mir with the shadow of the moon on it. Yes, the Moon! How awesome is that? This was taken during the August 1999 Total Solar Eclipse, and I must say it is pretty cool. Wow…. okay enough said.
